Your Cure for Analysis Paralysis

What it does. You put everything on your plate into one list. It works out what you should do right now based on how important each thing is, when it’s due, how long it takes, how much effort it takes, and how long it’s been sitting there. Then it shows you one thing at a time.

Why one at a time. A list of forty things is paralysing. A single card is a decision you can actually make. Swipe if it’s not the one, or hit Spin and let the wheel choose.

Getting started
  • Add — type or tap the mic, set priority, duration, effort and a due date.
  • What now? — tell it how much time you have and what your energy level is. It hides anything that doesn’t fit.
  • Why this one? — shows the exact maths behind the ranking, and lets you lean it toward deadlines or quick wins.
Your data

Everything lives in this browser on this device. Nothing is uploaded, there is no account, and nobody else can see it.

The catch: it does not sync between your phone and computer, and clearing your browsing data will erase it. Back up now and then.

Backup & restore
  • Backup saves a small .json file to your downloads. Keep it in a cloud folder and you have a safety net.
  • Restore loads that file back in. It replaces everything currently in the app, so back up first if you’re unsure.
  • Export copies your list as plain text — handy for pasting elsewhere.
Put it on your home screen

It then opens full screen with its own icon, like any other app.

AI Services Talk or type a brain dump and it splits it into separate tasks, filling in priority, duration, effort and deadlines for you. Optional — needs a free key.

The AI reader is optional. Without it everything still works — you just fill in the details yourself. Add a key below and an AI assist toggle appears on the Add tab.

Google Gemini free

The only one that’s genuinely free. No credit card, no expiry, and the allowance is far more than this app will use.

  1. Go to aistudio.google.com/apikey and sign in with any Google account.
  2. Click Create API key. Choose a new project if it asks.
  3. Copy the key. New ones start with AQ.; older ones start with AIza. Both work.
  4. Paste it in the box above and tap Save, then Test it.

On the free tier Google may use what you send to improve their models. Don’t dictate anything you wouldn’t put in an email.

Anthropic Claude paid

No free tier. New accounts get a small starting credit that expires, then it’s pay-as-you-go — a fraction of a cent per brain-dump.

  1. Go to console.anthropic.com and sign up.
  2. Add a payment method under Billing.
  3. Open API keys and click Create key.
  4. Copy it — it starts with sk-ant- — and paste it above.
OpenAI ChatGPT paid

No free tier for the API. A ChatGPT Plus subscription does not include API credit — they’re billed separately.

  1. Go to platform.openai.com and sign in.
  2. Add credit under Billing (a few dollars lasts a very long time here).
  3. Open API keysCreate new secret key.
  4. Copy it — it starts with sk- — and paste it above.
xAI Grok paid

Pay-as-you-go. Free credits appear from time to time but aren’t guaranteed.

  1. Go to console.x.ai and sign in with your X account.
  2. Create a team and add billing.
  3. Open API keys and create one.
  4. Copy it — it starts with xai- — and paste it above.

About your key. It’s stored only in this browser and goes straight from your device to the provider — it never reaches any server of mine, because there isn’t one. Whichever provider you pick will see the text of your brain-dumps.

Why this one
How it decides
Every task gets a score out of 1. Five things feed it, each worth a fixed share. Nothing is a tie-breaker or a hard rule — they just add up, and the highest score is what you see on the card.

Priority is what you set. Deadline rises smoothly as the due date nears, and counts the job’s own length — a 4-hour task due Friday gets urgent sooner than a 10-minute one. Age climbs for three weeks so nothing rots at the bottom. Energy fit pushes heavy work down when you say you’re fried. Quickness gives short tasks a small nudge.

Blocked tasks and ones with a future start date are set aside entirely, and anything longer than the time you picked is hidden until you have room for it.
